  • Payment Information: Processed securely through Stripe; we do not store full card details

4. SMS/Text Message Communications

Instavite offers SMS text messaging as part of our invitation and RSVP service. We take consent seriously and require explicit confirmation before any SMS messages are sent.

How SMS Consent Works

When an event host adds a guest's phone number on Instavite, they must check a consent checkbox confirming:"I confirm I have permission from this guest to send them SMS event invitations. Message and data rates may apply." This consent checkbox is displayed every time a phone number is entered for a guest. Without checking this box, the host cannot add the phone number or send SMS invitations.

Types of SMS Messages

  • Event Invitations: One-time invitation messages sent on behalf of event hosts, including event details and RSVP link
  • RSVP Confirmations: Confirmation of your RSVP response
  • Event Reminders: Optional reminder messages before events (typically 24 hours before)
  • Event Updates: Important changes to event details

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on event activity. Typically, recipients receive 1-3 messages per event (invitation, optional reminder, and any critical updates). We never send marketing or promotional text messages.

Costs

Message and data rates may apply. Consult your mobile carrier for details about your text messaging plan.

Opting Out

You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from Instavite. After opting out, you will receive a confirmation message and no further texts will be sent to your number. You can opt back in by replying START.

5. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
